Richard Milhous Nixon's controversial campaign to cleanse the
White House grounds of both ultra-clear and waterclear orbs seemed a miscalculation for the first few weeks of its deployment, then grew to become one of the shining successes of his ill-fated administration.

In this rare photograph, two lingering orbs can be made out hovering near the oft-maligned President.
